Katherine Soniat of Great Smokies Writing Program Wins Book Award

Katherine Soniat, who teaches in UNC Asheville’s Great Smokies Writing Program, has won the Poetry Council of North Carolina’s award for best book of 2011. Soniat won the award, the Oscar Arnold Young award, for “The Swing Girl” (2011, LSU Press), her fourth poetry volume.
