The Asheville Graduate Center, established in 1984 on the campus of of the University of North Carolina at Asheville, delivers graduate programs of constituent universities in the University of North Carolina system and other universities. Degrees earned through the Asheville Graduate Center are conferred by the universities that bring programs to Asheville. Tuition charges are set by the home campus offering the degree program.

In addition to graduate programs, the Asheville Graduate Center offers professional, and continuing education. You can access test preparation classes for SAT, GRE, and LSAT; Continuing Education Credits (CEUs); test proctoring services; Great Smokies Writing Program courses; substitute teacher training, and more.
Evening and weekend classes accommodate working professionals and offer scheduling flexibility. Classes are held in various UNC Asheville classroom buildings in the evenings as well as through UNC Asheville’s distance learning facilities.
The Asheville Graduate Center strives to provide affordable, convenient and relevant advanced degree programs for the citizens of Western North Carolina. Staff members continually evaluate and update programs based on the needs of the region.
